Our Philosophy of Education
We believe God's love & truth should shape all we do.
We believe the Bible is the Word of God, and this shapes the way we teach, care for and interact with children. In 1 John 4:8, we are told that "God is love." We are dedicated to creating a learning environment where each child feels valued, safe, and loved. Our educational approach combines positive reinforcement with clear expectations and boundaries, providing a secure environment that allows children to thrive through play, exploration and interaction. Daily Bible times reinforce that God’s love and forgiveness are foundational to our lives and our classroom community fosters kindness, respect, and care for others.
We believe children learn best through hands-on activities.
Through engaging activities, we guide children in developing strong social skills, emotional resilience, and intellectual curiosity. Each week a new, exciting theme guides learning in games, crafts, stories, motor activities and hands-on experiences. Learning stations around the classroom provide fun opportunities for exploration, learning, creativity and play while structured times like morning meeting, storytimes, and fun lessons help develop listening skills and turn-taking. Throughout each day, our philosophy and curriculum supports growth in five key areas: social, emotional, intellectual, physical, and spiritual.
Social Growth
Emotional Growth
Both fine and gross motor skills are emphasized through activities such as writing, drawing, and assembling puzzles, along with running, jumping, and playing ball. These activities promote coordination, stamina, and strength, supporting children’s overall health and physical abilities.
Physical Growth

Intellectual Growth
Each week, we introduce a new theme that guides learning and engages students in fun, hands-on activities. Throughout the program, our classes cover pre-literacy skills, letter and number recognition, counting, and shape recognition, and science activities preparing them for future academic success. Creative arts and music further enrich intellectual growth, sparking curiosity and imagination.

At LEAP, we teach that each child is uniquely loved and created by God, integrating Bible stories and monthly verses to share His Truth. Through simple, engaging lessons, children learn about their value and connection to God, building a foundation of faith and kindness.
Spiritual Growth
Through play, group activities, and class routines, children learn to respect others, care for materials and thrive in a classroom structure. They practice essential skills like turn-taking, following classroom expectations, and playing with other children. These activities encourage kindness, independence, and teamwork in a warm, supportive environment.

We nurture emotional growth by encouraging children to verbally express needs, communicate ideas, and develop positive self-concepts around learning. Activities are designed to help children grow in confidence and empathy, preparing them to navigate their emotions and interactions thoughtfully.
